Welcome to the website for Psyc 271: Introduction to Brain and Behavior I. This is a second year course offered through the Department of Psychology, Queen's University. Throughout this website you will find important information and resources for this course. To navigate through the site, click on the buttons at the top of the page. Text brings you to a site created by Worth Publishers to accompany the textbook for this course: An Introduction to Brain and Behavior by Kolb and Whishaw. WebCT links to Queen's WebCT (Web Course Tools) site with additional resources. Notes brings you to a page from which you can download the class PowerPoint presentations or view/print the PDFs. Psyc 271 is offered in the Fall 2002 term with the first class on Monday September 9, 2002 at 10:30 am. Classes will be held in the Etherington Hall Auditorium three times a week: Mondays 10:30 am - 11:30 am, Wednesdays 9:30 am - 10:30 am, and Fridays 8:30 am - 9:30 am. The textbook is required and is available at the Queen's Campus Bookstore located in Clark Hall. We will be covering the first 7 chapters of the textbook. The second half of the text will be covered in Psyc 272 offered in January, 2003. You may wish to buy the study guide by Bazzett, but it is certainly not required - nor will it be a reference from which lectures or exam material will be based. |
